This section covers the most frequently asked questions from both Day 1 and Day 2 of the workshop, compiled directly from participant interactions and chat transcripts.

💬 Q1: Who’s eligible to receive a GitHub Foundations certification voucher?

A: Due to the number of vouchers provided by GitHub, we were only able to guarantee certification vouchers to the first 50 participants confirmed and registered for the Saturday, April 19th session. If you attended Sunday’s session or were waitlisted, we welcome you to fully participate in the learning experience, but we cannot guarantee a voucher at this time.

We are actively working with GitHub to secure additional voucher codes for overflow participants and will notify you via email if that becomes available.

💬 Q2: When should I take the certification exam?

A: We recommend taking the exam within 2–3 weeks of this workshop — while the content is still fresh and your hands-on practice is top of mind. There’s no strict expiration date, but momentum is key.

💬 Q3: Where can I find everything mentioned in the workshop?

A: Everything we referenced — including walkthroughs, links, command guides, and practice materials — is housed in this notion guide. Think of it as your Git>>Ready certification resource.

💬 Q4: I couldn’t attend Day 1 — will I still get access to the content?

A: Yes! The workshop content, slides, transcripts, and recordings from both days are included in your companion. You can review on your own time, revisit sections at your own pace, and apply what you’ve learned toward certification whenever you’re ready.

💬 Q5: Do I need to know how to code to use GitHub or pass the exam?
